- La Primera Sparkling Brut NV
In Spain they call
Champagne … Cava. This delightful refreshing sparkler is crisp and
clean with fine bubbles. Produced from the indigenous grapes Xiarello,
Macabeo and Paradella, La Primera shows a lovely pale yellow color with
aromas and flavors of pears and citrus. Great on its own or try it in
a Mimosa, Bellini or mix with a little pomegranate juice for a great
cocktail.
Produced from 100%
Albariño, Galicia's rising star, this clean, fresh wine explodes from
the glass with intense white fruit and floral aromas. Flavors of white
peach, apricot and citrus mingle with hints of minerals and honey. In
the vineyard low crop yields and optimum ripeness levels are the norm.
The grapes used in Castel de Bouza are selected from the vineyard's
best plots, gently destemmed, pressed, and fermented in temperature
controlled stainless steel tanks. Half of the wine is allowed to go
through malolactic fermentation in order to impart a hint of silky
richness. Fruit driven yet dry with mouthwatering, juicy acidity,
Castel de Bouza is a heavenly match with shellfish, but in absence of a
local scallop monger, try it with anything, especially good friends and
family.
100% Tempranillo loaded
with flavors of dark fruits, cherries and black-berries... just a hint
of leather, spice, and vanilla, with a lovely smooth finish. Medium to full bodied, Viñalcasta Crianza possesses a great fleshy, fruity personality with well-balanced tannins and a persistent finish. From Spain’s Hottest Up-and-Coming Region!- Villacezan VCZ Doce Meses
Produced
from the very best selections of Prieto Picudo, Mencia and Tempranillo
grapes grown in the family vineyards at Dehesa de Villacezán, this
deep-red colored wine exhibits lovely aromas and flavors of ripe
dark-fruits with hints of coffee, toast and vanilla. Following
fermentaion, the wine is aged for twelve months in new French and
American oak. The concentrated fruit and tannins balance harmoniously
with the oak and acidity, while bottle aging rounds out the wine to
make Doce Meses a powerful yet elegant red wine. Enjoy this complex
wine with red meat, game, a strong flavored cheese or just sit back,
relax and sip. Though
considered a Crianza, Doce Meses (or "Twelve Months" for the minimum
time in oak) would qualify as a Reserva in some D.O.s. The wine
reflects the very best of Villacezán, from careful selection of the
highest quality grapes sourced from the finest plots to the carefully
chosen oak barriques. - Conde de Olzinellas Red Crianza
55% Merlot 45% Cabernet Sauvignon - this
deep rich red finds its origins in the hills of Penedes outside of
Barcelona. Produced from hand harvested Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
grown in our family estate vineyards, Conde de Olzinellas Crianza shows
an intense ruby red color and great depth and purity of fruit. Initial
flavors of blackberries, dark fruits and sweet herbs, lead to a rich
full-bodied mid palate. Aging for 18 months in French Allier Oak
Barriques adds an additional layer of complexity to this well
structured red. The only thing you need now is a couple of thick steaks
and a hot grill!
Hand
harvested , the finest tempranillo grapes were carefully selected from
the vineyard's best plots and underwent fermentation in temperature
controlled stainless steel tanks. After aging for a year in French and
American oak, the wine was lightly filtered, bottled and aged for
another year. This
complex and well-balanced wine shows deep red/purple colors with hues
of red cherry at the rim. On the nose notes of ripe red and black
fruits dominate. A juicy & succulent entry leads to a full bodied
mid-palate with great depth of fruit. Hints of mineral, spice and
vanilla round out the palate and give way to a medium-long, velvety
finish. At 13.5% alcohol the wine deftly balances ripe fruit, tannin
and acidity and pairs pleasurably with red meats and aged cheeses.
